Contribution of MGNREGS in Eradication of Rural Poverty- An Assessment
3.9 lakh works in 2006-07. Right from launching of the programme, several works
such as village roads, water conservation, irrigation cannals and land development
were completed. Thus, one of the objective of the scheme creation of rural assets
has been fulfilled.
Table 5 clearly depicts that in wages after the implementation of MGNREGS.
