states are deficit in chevon/mutton with Assam having

the highest deficit. This calls for enhancing the chevon/
one of the most lucrative opportunities in most of the NE
mutton production particularly in the states of Assam
states. Thus, it is observed that Assam is having surplus
and Tripura which can be further transported to other NE
only in terms of fish whereas production of other meat
states as the demand in other NE states may be unstable
