Livestock sector plays a pivotal role in generating economic welfares especially, of the rural people. One of the most important glitches towards realization of the livestock revolution is diseases in general and parasitic diseases particular in grazing ruminants inflicting losses through mortality, morbidity, reduced feed conversion ratio, inefficiency of production and by the way of costs incurred upon their treatment and control. Early diagnosis, prevention and control of parasitic diseases are therefore one of the key issues to be addressed for sustaining production and productivity of our animals. Beside this, the regular use of anti-parasitic drugs in animals generates a challenging problem of resistance which require special attention. In this endeavour we have organized an online training programme on “Recent advance in Veterinary Parasitology: A paradigm shift” and the current volume is the collection of lecture delivered by the experts in their respective fields.
