Title: Effect of Mental Imagery and Goal Setting on Skills of Basket Ball Players
Abstract :
The purpose of the study was to analyze the effect of eight weeks training of mental imagery and goal setting on skill acquisition i.e. dribbling, passing, defense and shooting of 15 female basketball players at the university level. It was a single group design in which fifteen female basketball players of university level were randomly selected. The sports imagery questionnaire was used for measuring the imagery ability of the individuals and AAPHERD Basketball skill test was used to evaluate the four different skills of the individuals. The pre, during and post data was collected within a gap of four weeks respectively. The responses given by the subjects were analyzed by using one way analysis of variance (ANOVA) and then further the LSD test was applied to see the difference among the different variables.
Title: Field Hockey Better Psychological Effect Through the Motivation and Stress
Abstract :
In This paper we are taken these following methods “Field Hockey better psychological performance through Achievement Motivation and AD Stress” It was concluded that twelve weeks yogic exercises significantly altered motivation and stress of the inter university hockey players. It was concluded that six weeks autogenic exercises significantly altered motivation and stress of the inter university hockey players. It was concluded that there was no significant differences between yogic exercises and autogenic training groups on motivation and stress of the interuniversity hockey players. Compare to previous work motivation is saved of 99% stress is saved of 3 % .
Title: Correlation of Selected Anthropometric and Physical Fitness Variables to Basketball Proformance
Abstract :
The aim of the study was to determine the relationship of anthropometric and physical fitness variables with Basketball performance. Basketball is a game of applied athletics and it requires well proportionate physique and great amount of physical fitness level. To achieve the objectives of the study six anthropometric and seven physical fitness variables were included as independent variables and playing ability as dependent variable, which was assessed through subjective rating, by three experts, during the tournaments and the average was taken as criterion score. Forty five male Basketball
players, who had participated the University of Rajasthan Basketball tournament in 2010-2011 seasons, were selected as subjects. Person’s product moment correlation (zero order) was used as a statistical tool to find out the result and it revealed that the anthropometrics variables of height, weight, arm length, leg length, palm span and sum of four skin folds and physical fitness variables of speed, agility, explosive power, shoulder strength, strength endurance and endurance were having significant relationship with Basketball performance and only flexibility was not having significant
relationship with Basketball performance.
Title: Medical Information Science: Emerging Domain of Information Science and Technology (IST) for sophisticated Health & Medical Infrastructure Building — An Overview
Abstract :
Information Science is one of the important interdisciplinary subjects today. It is actually dedicated to the information activities ranging from collection to dissemination with proper shape and quality. Information Science has so many dimensions and flavors out of which the integration of Medical Science and Information Science has brought to us Medical Information Science (MIS/MISc); which is also treated as Health Informatics. Health or Medical Information System (MIS) works mainly with the utilization of tools, techniques and technologies in the health systems and entities which include hospitals, clinical centers, nourishing homes, diagnostic centers, pharmacy labs and so on. This paper describes many aspects of MISc and its role, needs, challenges in the contemporary Indian scenario.
Title: Motion Assessment of Volleyball Overhead Serve
Abstract :
Biomechanical principles are applied by scientists in a number of fields in addressing problems related to human health and performance. This study had been taken to biomechanically analyze the technique of Overhead serve in Volley ball. It was hypothesized that there may be significant relationship between the selected kinematical variables with the performance of the volleyball players in overhead serve. Ten male national players of Volleyball were selected. The age of the selected layers were between 20 to 24 years. The study included the kinematical variables namely Ankle Joint (left), Ankle Joint (right), Knee Joint (left), Knee Joint (right), Hip Joint (left), Hip Joint (right), Shoulder Joint (left), Shoulder Joint (right), Elbow Joint (left), Elbow joint (right), Wrist joint (left), Wrist Joint (right), Height of C.G at moment stance and Height of C.G at moment execution for analyzing the technique
of overhead serve of volleyball. In the study motion analyzer software motion pro and simi machix is used to asses the selected biomechanical variables. The criterion measure for this study was the performance of selected subjects in overhead serves as assessed by Russell-Lange test of volleyball serve. The product moment correlation (Pearson) was used in order to find out the relationship between selected kinematical variables with the performance of volleyball player’s in overhead serve of Volleyball. The results have shown that all the selected kinematical variables had insignificant relationship with the performance of subjects in overhead serve in volleyball.
Title: Imporance of Physical Education in Human Health: A Review
Abstract :
In the Present World of Space age and automation era, all human beings appear to be living a more and more inactive life. They ride instead of walk, sit instead of stand and watches instead of participants. Such type of inactivity or sedentary life is detrimental to mental and physical health. Thus, there is great need for physical education as a part of balanced living.
