Whether a child shall grow up to regard life with suspicion or with confidence; to be deceitful or straight forward; contentious and grasping or co-operative and loyal. These and other characteristics are determined by the treatment he receives and obviously they enter into the essential qualities of spiritual life in general and of his religion in particular.
