This book is a compilation of various well researched papers authored by academicians, practitioners, researchers who are the witness to increasing challenges in mitigating the upsurge of the pandemic. Currently, all of us are experiencing something new, weird circumstances, emotions, thoughts and situations that we have never experienced before. It is not that there was no pandemic earlier. Pandemic, particularly the plague outbreak has been known since time immemorial. The Cholera pandemic followed by the flu pandemic was highlights of the nineteenth century. Another epidemic called “Spanish Flu” ravaged the world in the early part of the twentieth century. Subsequently, while there have been other outbreaks like Asian flu, SARS, MERS, Ebola, etc., but the pandemic of COVID-19 is on a completely different scale. It has shaken the entire world and created global panic. As COVID-19 initially creeps in and subsequently spreads at a galloping pace, it has been ravaging country after country with its various genome sequences. It keeps on changing its variants. The pandemic has significant and variable psychological impact on each country, depending on the stage of the pandemic.
