Precision Agriculture has been practiced since later part of the 20th Century in Developing and Developed countries. However, the works for precision agriculture has been carried out in sporadic manner in different countries. There is requirement of better understanding of the technology and coordinated efforts for its implementation. Technology is generally based on some principles and requires integrated approach for adoption. Precision agriculture technology depends on subsidiary technologies such as GIS, GPS, Remote sensing, and soil analysis techniques. There is also requirement of supporting machineries for implementation of Precision agriculture technologies. The major equipments involved are Drone, farm robots, milking robots, wireless network system, sensors and actuator, remote sensing satellites, tractors, computers etc. It is important to get in-depth knowledge about the mentioned techniques, machineries and sensors for successful implementation of precision agriculture technology. This book enables the readers to understand the concepts, scope, benefits, limitations and adoption methodologies for precision agriculture technology at farm level.
