Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, India's international trade declined, prompting the concept of achieving self-sufficiency in particular areas and becoming a global supplier. The 1991 fiscal crisis, the BOP crisis, and hyperinflation prompted the government to implement a new policy known as LPG, or Liberalization, Privatization, and Globalization. Similarly, since March 2020, whatever circumstance the world, as well as India, has experienced as a result of COVID-19 has given rise to a new construct i.e. Atmanirbhar Bharat. The goal of Atmanirbhar, is to assure that India can emerge as the global nerve center of complex modern international production and supply networks. The pandemic scenario provided India with a new opportunity to showcase and drive the globe by localizing products and upgrading supply chains to fulfill domestic demands. In these current dynamics, the integration of supply-demand fundamentals with highly diversified value chains, innovative technologies, and artificial intelligence shows us a huge potential to mitigate supply chain disruptions through the increased use of advanced new services digital platforms, and applications.
