Child labour is a horrible curse in the modern globalised world. The potency of any nation is estimated through the manifestation of capabilities of the child of that nation. Child labour is precarious, destructive and harmful to the development of a child, that is, ultimately to the development of a nation. Child Labour retards the mental and physical development of the child. Consequently, these children cannot grow up as normal human beings. The problem of child labour is a matter of serious concern of Government of India. Even though the Indian policy makers have been taking lots of active measures, yet, the severity of the problem is till now persevering. The purpose of this book is to contribute some vibrant studies in order to focus deeply on the long-lasting problem of India – the problem of child labour, and to suggest some effective measures to get rid of this curse.
